Obituary Laura Bautista, 86, of East Haven died peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Luís Fernández. Laura was born in El Pan, in the Azuay Province of Ecuador on January 28, 1934, a daughter of the late Etelvina Bautista, and had resided in East Haven for the past twenty years. She is survived by five daughters, Rosa Maria Fernández Bautista and her husband Felix Fajardo of New Jersey, Natividad Fernández Bautista and her husband Manuel Villalta and Carmen Fernández Bautista and her husband Hugo of East Haven, Amada Fernández Bautista of Cuenca, Ecuador, and Mariana Fernández Bautista of Guayaquil, Ecuador, five sons, Miguel Fernández Bautista, Segundo Fernández Bautista and his wife Narzisa Cardenas, Manuel Fernández Bautista, and Remiqio Fernández and his wife America Garcia of East Haven, and Luís Fernández Bautista and his wife Blanca Rendón of Cuenca, Ecuador, one sister, Dorinda Bautista of Cuenca, twenty three grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Laura’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, May 8th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.
