Obituary Larry Vernon, 55, of 1746 Little Africa Road, Chesnee, SC passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 in Spartanburg Medical Center. He was born in Tryon, NC on April 3, 1965. He was the son of the late Clarence David Vernon and Corine Staley Vernon. He attended Spartanburg County District No. Two Schools and was a former employee of Great American Paper. He was predeceased by his parents, one brother, Thomas Vernon and four sisters, Valerie Vernon, Doris Vernon, Barbara Hardy, and Angela Vernon. He is survived by one daughter, Chiquan (Branden) Johnson of Spartanburg, SC; seven grandchildren; his companion, Sharon Procter; one brother, Clarence Vernon of Campobello, SC; three sisters, Azalee Whiteside of Campobello, SC, Rosie Vernon of Inman, SC, and Arlene Fernanders of Finerville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. The family will receive friends at the home. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
