Obituary Rocky Mount – Kimberly McKinney Eilers, 53, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020. In addition to her parents, Moody T. and Ann McKinney of Rocky Mount, Kimberly is survived by her husband, John A. Eilers, Jr.; children, Christopher Thompson of Dallas, Texas, Dustin Thompson of Hickory, two sons actively serving in the Marine Corp: Jacob Thompson (Paige) of Twentynine Palms, California and Zachary Thompson of Okinawa; daughter, Raeann Thompson of Rocky Mount; grandchild, Alany Thompson, born on May 18, 2020; siblings Mollie Whitley (Darrell) of Rocky Mount and Jason McKinney (Sharon) of Cary; and mother-in-law, Frances Eilers Constans of Rocky Mount; along with a host of family friends and extended relatives. Kim and John enjoyed spending time together and shared a fancy for Mexican cuisine. She also enjoyed cooking and visiting the beach. Kim loved her family and always looked forward to spending time with them and chatting on the phone. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
