Obituary Kay Keeney King Kay King, age 85, passed away on May 6, 2020. She was born on October 20, 1934 in Charleston, West Virginia to Fred and Leone Keeney. She loved going to the beach and being outside in the sun. Kay enjoyed reading and cooking. She was famous for her peach cobbler and loved to cook it for her family. Most of all Kay loved the Lord and being with her family. Kay was a strong woman of Faith. Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin D. King; her parents, Fred and Leone Keeney; her siblings: Don, Roger, and Chloe Keeney; and grandchild, Hunter Brixey. Kay is survived by her son, Franklin D. King II and his wife Shannon; sister, Biddy Whitlock and her husband Fred from Pawleys Island S.C.; grandchildren, Trey Brixey and Joshua Carr; great-granddaughter, Skylar Anne Brixey; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Kay will be buried in Carolina Memorial Gardens in North Charleston, S.C. beside her husband with a private family service. Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.
