Katrina’s Obituary Katrina Annie Hoffmann, 26 endured much suffering in life due to the effects of cystic fibrosis. So much pain and many surgeries. She is now at peace and breathing freely! She left us on Sunday, May 3, 2020 surrounded by family at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans. It was Good Shepherd Sunday and the Jesus she so loved came to get his little sheep. Katrina was born December 7, 1993 Katrina Jewell West. She loved her service dog, Chief and her other dog, Jazy and cat, Zelda. She was passionate about rescuing and training animals and her dream was to become a veterinarian. She lived for going on adventures, fishing, the beach and mountains. Singing and acting brought her much joy. Her family meant the world to her. She had such a big heart and would do anything to help someone out. Her smile is something that we will never forget! She is preceded in death by her biological mother, Linda Short West and sister Tiffany West. She is survived by long time companion, Shawn Anthony Dore; parents, Gerald and Judy Hoffmann; biological father, Larry Gene West; brother Brandon Hoffmann; siblings, Annie Hoffmann, Father Hoffmann, Heidi (John) Norman, Wendy West, Larry West, Randy West, Amanda Wagster, Jaimie Doyle, Crystal West-toney, Casey West, Andrea Knight Barnett, Christopher Knight; great-grandmother, Annie Babineaux Comeaux and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Inurnment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery The family would like to thank the ICU doctors and nurses at Ochsners New Orleans for their care and devotion when family wasn’t permitted to be with her.
