Julie R. Campbell, age 42, of Elizabethton, Tennessee, passed away in her sleep due to a short illness on Sunday, May 17, 2020 from her residence. Julie was born in Johnson City, Tennessee to Harold Bill Campbell and Lorraine Scalf Campbell, of Elizabethton. She is preceded in death by the father of her only child, Matthew Doyle Spradlin; her uncles, Bobby Campbell, Jimmy Scalf, Glenn Scalf, Paul Scalf, Pat Scalf and Hampie Scalf; a niece, Donna Kay Fair, who passed away May 14, 2020; and three aunts, Carolyn Richards, Marie Scalf Bussink and Mary Evelyn Taylor. Julie was a friendly, personable lady who loved everyone and everyone loved her. She never met a stranger and was very helpful to her family and friends. Julie worked as an administrator in the health industry, where she had worked for the majority of her life. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed spending time with her family. Those left to cherish her many wonderful memories include her parents, Harold Bill and Lorraine Campbell, of Elizabethton; her precious son, Joshua Luke Campbell, of Elizabethton; a sister, Tracey Ramona McLamb, of Wilmington, NC; a nephew, Zack Floyd, of South Carolina; three aunts, Georgia Berry, of Elizabethton, Betty Kyte, of Williamsburg, NC and Peggy Richardson, of Johnson City; two uncles, Paul Campbell and wife Wanda, of Apex, NC and Bo Campbell and wife Joann, of Elizabethton; and Jean Potter, of Maryland. Several cousins and other extended family also survive. A service to celebrate the life of Julie R. Campbell will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Sunday, May 24, 2020 in the Campbell Cemetery (Stoney Creek Community) with Pastor Ronnie Campbell, officiating. The family would like to thank the members of the Carter County Rescue Squad for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Julie and her family.
