Mrs. Judith Lynn Harris, 78, of Houston (formerly of Navasota) passed away Wednesday, May 27th at Treemont Health Care Center in Houston. Calling hours will be from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm, Wednesday, June 3rd at Nobles Funeral Chapel, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 pm at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel. Judith was born October 6th, 1941 in Navasota to D. K. and Alexine (Archer) Nowlin. After high school graduation, she attended Texas Christian University (TCU) in Ft. Worth, where she was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority. She married Gracchus Crawford Harris, III on June 5th, 1965 in Navasota and together they had two children. Judith worked as a school secretary for HISD until her retirement. She was a member of the Sugar Grove Church of Christ in Houston for many years. Judith is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Heather Lynn and Michael D. Lore and grandchildren Adrian and Derek. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gracchus Harris, III and son Heath Harris.
