Joseph’s Obituary Mr. Joseph Alfred Deaver, age 77 of Booger Hollow Connector, Blairsville, formerly of Murphy, NC., passed away peacefully on Saturday May 23, 2020 in the Northeast Georgia Medical Center of Gainesville following a brief illness. Joseph was born on July 13, 1942 in Copperhill, TN., son of the late Kermit Deaver & late Emma Jean Hughes. Joseph spent most of his free time outdoors; whether it be hunting, fishing, or raising his game chickens. He was dearly loved by everyone and had many friends. He is preceded in death by a brother; Jimmy Deaver on May 3, 2020. Joseph was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his companion of 17 years, Sue Collins of Blairsville, step-son; Jason Collins of Blairsville, sister-in-law; Debbie Deaver of Blairsville, nephew; Eric Deaver of Blairsville, great-nephew; Kayden Deaver of Blairsville, and two step-grandchildren; Jennah & Tessah Collins. Funeral services will be held on Monday May 25, 2020 at 2:00pm from the Mountain View Chapel with Rev. Kevin Gunter officiating. Interment will follow in the Bellview Community Cemetery in Murphy, NC. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers; Jason Collins, Harry Mull, Eric Deaver, Bud Murphy, Brian Keesler, and Clay Beaver. The family will meet with friends from 12:00pm-2:00pm prior to the services. Flowers are being accepted in Joseph’s memory. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville is in charge of the arrangements.
