Obituary Mission, Texas Jose Ines Ortiz,84, entered eternal rest Thursday, May 7, 2020 surrounded by his family at his home in Mission. Jose was born November 21, 1935 in Mexico to Pedro and Flavia (Martinez) Ortiz. He had lived in Mission for most of his life. Jose Ines enjoyed roosters and playing pool. He also enjoyed family gatherings. He truly lived life to its fullest. Jose Ines will be dearly missed by his family and those that came to know him. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jose is survived by his loving wife- Dolores Hernandez Ortiz; His children- Maria Elena Aispuro, Flavia Gomez, Anabel Ruacho, Veronica Baez; Brothers and Sisters- Juan Ortiz and Carmela Rubio; 21 Grandchildren. ATTENTION: LIMITED VISITATION- In order to protect our employees and the community at large to stop the spread of COVID-19, the following visitation guidelines are in place: capacity- 30 person rotation. Continue to practice social distancing while inside the chapel Visitation will take place Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd. in McAllen from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The recital of the Holy Rosary will begin at 12:00 noon. Interment will be at 2:00 PM at the Buena Vista Memorial Gardens cemetery in Brownsville, Texas To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Jose Ines Ortiz, please visit our floral store.
