John’s Obituary John L. Bradley, 83 of Palm Coast, Florida and a resident of Plattsburgh, New York, died Monday, May 18, 2020 at his home in Palm Coast. John was born June 8, 1936 in Fairfield, Iowa, the son of Arthur “Fred” and Nevada Shondel Bradley. John graduated from Fairfield High School in 1954. After graduation he enlisted in the US Air Force serving from September 1954 and retiring April 1976. Before continued work with the government in Civil Service with the Air Force and later with the Navy,(a total of 45 years of active and non-active duty) he attended Clinton Community College receiving a degree in Business Management and attended New York State University at Canton earning a degree in Mortuary Science. John married Rachel E. Kilborn on June 15, 1957 and would have celebrated 64 years of marriage next month. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Ann and a son Andrew Kilborn, his parents, 2 sisters Phyllis and Linda, 5 brothers, Jim, Tom ,Pete, Charles and Ronald (Mike). Surviving is his wife, Rachel Bradley of Palm Coast, Fl., his daughter Allison Bradley of Davie, Fl, his grandchildren, Fernando Valdes Jr. and his wife Alexis of Palm Bay, Fl, John Valdes and Fiancé Lila Aviles of Miramar, Fl, Katherine Valdes-Torrado and her husband Manny of Coral Gables, Jonathan Bradley and his partner Mandee Roberts of Derby, Vt., Amanda Bradley of Winston-Salem, NC. Also surviving are his great grandchildren, Brianna ,Kali, Dylan, Mason, Emma, Hayden ,Camila and Emerson, a sister, Ann Edwards of Washington, IA, two brothers, Jack (Dee) Bradley of Fairfield, IA .,Jerry (Lea) Bradley of Mount Pleasant, IA and sister- in- law Iona (Mike) Bradley of Red Lion, PA., as well as many nieces and nephews. He loved telling stories of his youth and the adventures of his military days. He loved making cards for all his family members no matter what the occasion was. His grandchildren and great grand children were the highlights of his life, he loved their visits and calling him Pop-Pop. He was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan, a member of the Shriner’s and the Clinton Lodge No. 15 under the Grand Lodge of Iowa and a proud veteran of Vietnam with the Air Force.
