John Franklin Hendricks April 17, 1954 – May 22, 2020 Share this obituary Send Flowers Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card John Franklin Hendricks, age 66 of Upton, formerly of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020 in Louisville, KY He was born on April 17, 1954 in Louisville, KY son of the late Ernest Ray Hendricks and Margerie “Margie” Edith Trent Hendricks. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Margie Jane Hendricks and his brother, James Michael “Baldy” Hendricks. John was an amazingly kind person who continued to give through his love of landscaping. Many people were beneficiaries of his kindness and of his giving heart as he continued to take care of people’s yards and needs even after he retired. He was loved by many, a beaming light to those around him, and always serving others. He is survived by his: daughter, Tabatha “Tabby” (Mike) Kenny of Brandenburg; sister, Ann Eads of Sonora, KY; brother, Joseph “Joe” Earl (Kathy) Hendricks of Elizabethtown; granddaughters, Paige (Zach) Dowell of Georgia, Brianna (Colin) Kenny of Brandenburg, Madison Kenny of Brandenburg; bonus grand-daughter, Stephanie Davis; bonus-great-grandchildren, Addison & Tinsley; several nieces, nephews, and cousins who all loved him very much. A visitation will be held at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home on Monday, May 25, 2020 from 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM. Due to the current restrictions on gatherings, the family will hold a private funeral service on Monday at 2:00PM.
