Obituary Joel Eberlin of Easthampton passed away May 5, in Northampton Joel was born in New York on December 31, 1929, the daughter of Walter and Elizabeth Eberlin. She had two siblings who passed earlier; Elspeth Sally Eberlin Matkovich who passed away on December 18, 2014 and Peter C. Eberlin who passed away on October 23, 2010. Joel graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 1952. She obtained her advanced degree in biology; she later went on to teach biology. Joel was an athlete; she played basketball and lacrosse. She later went on to teach at camps in both sports. Joel enjoyed telling stories about her past and had a fondness for England where she resided for some time. She was very intelligent, compassionate and known for her sense of humor. Joel was predeceased by her dear friend, Louise P. Johnson. She will be greatly missed by her dear friends in England. Services will be private.
