JoAnn’s Obituary JoAnn Sanders, 85, of Iuka, MS passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She was an Independent Baptist in faith and belief and was a member of Poplar Springs Church. She also enjoyed sewing, wood working, fishing and traveling with friends and family. She received her Registered Nursing Degree from Greenwood School of Nursing and had over 30 years in the nursing field. She also attended Davis College of Bible for three years. She taught for over 12 years. She is survived by her sisters, Joyce Smith and Katherine Mincy (John); her nieces, Jill Mincy Darling (Charles), Margaret Smith, and Myra Palmer (David); her nephews, Jeff Mincy (Carmen), Keith Smith (Martiza), Dale Smith (Liz), Calvin Smith (Deborah), and Billy Smith; and a host of great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Jefferson and Doshia Bullard Sanders; and a nephew, John Mincy. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. A private family graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Oak Grove Cemetery. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
