Jim’s Obituary Fairmont, MN Jim Fleming, 57, of Fairmont, MN peacefully finished his earthly journey and entered the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday morning, May 15, 2020 at his home in Fairmont. The family will hold a private burial, and a public celebration of life service is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Voice of the Martyrs www.persecution.com/donate/. The Lakeview Funeral Home of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements. James Michael Fleming was born on March 31, 1963 to James and Nancy Fleming in LaPorte, IN. He attended Taylor University and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where he received his Master of Religious Education. On August 6, 1988, Jim married ToniLynn VanBeveren in Bristol, PA. Together they raised three daughters, Jessica, Jennifer, and Julie. Jim and ToniLynn served the Lord together around the world in youth ministry and missions. For the past 10 years, Jim has been youth pastor and associate pastor at Bethel Evangelical Free Church in Fairmont, MN. Jim enjoyed spending time in nature through cycling, kayaking, camping, and hiking. He is remembered for dad jokes, breakfast Bible studies, and strong coffee. What truly motivated him was his love for his Savior, demonstrated by the grace and forgiveness he received and generously gave to others. He gave his time freely to those around him and showed how much each person mattered. Those who hold him dearest include his wife, ToniLynn; his children, Jessica, Julie, Jennifer and her husband Adrian; his granddaughter, Elise; his sister, Patricia Graham; and his stepmother, Pamela Fleming; as well as extended family and many friends.
