Jean was born on January 2, 1942 in Flint, MI to the late Charles and Dora Hughes. She had a passion for teaching and loved to tutor kids. She is survived by her sons, Greg Schanick, Jeff (Dee Dee) Schanick; and daughter-in-law, Loretta Schanick. Preceding her in death are her parents, Charles and Dora; and two children, Stephen and Elizabeth. Memorial service for Jean will be held by the family at 11 am on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Bethel Apostolic Tabernacle, Buchanan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan.
