Jacob David McClure, age 84, of Rutledge, TN passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of the late Jacob David McClure, Sr. and Helen McClure. He spent 12 years in the U. S. Navy and was stationed on the 1st Nuclear Submarine, “The USS Nautilus”. He retired from the CIA at Langley, VA as an electronic engineer after 22 years of service, and was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Ruth McClure; son, Sean David McClure and wife Robin of Suffolk, VA; grandchildren, Courtland Elizabeth Lucero, in the U.S. Navy stationed in Washington State, and Sean Patrick McClure, of Suffolk, VA, great granddaughter, Elizabeth Lucero, brother and sister-in-law, John Richard and Caroline McClure of Phoenix, AZ; several nieces and nephews.
