Hector’s Obituary Hector Ramirez, age 73, of Hobart, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020. He was born on August 14, 1946 in Donna, Texas to the late Andres and Guillermina Ramirez. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On April 19, 1971, he married Jennie Aleman. Hector was employed as a Millwright through the Carpenter’s Union Local #1005. He coached Little League and was a volunteer fireman in Lake Station. He enjoyed playing pool and bowling. Above all, Hector loved his family and encouraged them to better themselves with education. Hector is survived by his beloved wife, Jennie Ramirez; sons, Joseph Ramirez, Hector Ramirez, Jr., Robert (Delicia) Ramirez; grandchildren, Joseph (Malory) Ramirez, Jr., Xavier Ramirez, Eduardo Joaquin Ramirez, Roman Ramirez, Kody Ramirez; siblings, Ophelia Garcia, Paula Meyers, Oscar (Shelly) Ramirez, Harry Ramirez, Olga (Phillip) Kwolek, Mary (Hubert) Lopez, Jimmy (Judith) Ramirez, Yolanda Ramirez; and many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Guillermina Ramirez; brothers, Virgil, Pablo and Gonzalo Ramirez; sister, Antonia Ramirez. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 11:00 am at Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church, 2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage with visitation there from 9:00 am until the time of service.
