Harold C. Reck, Jr., known to many as Butch, passed away on Monday, May 4th at his home in Edison, NJ. He was born in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Harold and Doris Reck of Edison, NJ. After serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, Harold returned to Edison, NJ as a lifelong resident. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Penske in Linden, NJ. Harold was an antique car enthusiast, owning and restoring numerous antique cars as well as riding his two Harleys. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Faye (Pohlman); his daughter, Kimberly A. Reck-Afflitto of Edison, NJ; his stepson Anthony J. Ketrow and his wife Rosa of North Brunswick, NJ; his stepdaughter, Christine L. Ketrow of Cliffside Park, NJ; two sisters, Ruthann Hoffman of West Orange, NJ and Harolyn Muller of Edison, NJ; five grandchildren, Sofia, Gabriella, Nicole and her husband Chris, Brianna and Brett; one great grandchild, Jaxon along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be privately held by the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middle Avenue, Metuchen, NJ 08840. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to American Heart Association.
