Norris 71, of Brownsburg, passed away after struggles with multiple long-term health issues. He was born in Indianapolis in 1948. He was known among friends for his amazing ability to paint portraits, and some scenics. He loved being out in nature at Indiana parks, and could identify wild flowers and trees. He talked excitedly about any wild animals he had seen such as deer, foxes, bear, and even snakes. He enjoyed watching nature programs on TV as well as Star Trek, and unsolved mysteries like Bigfoot and UFOs. He collected oriental jade carvings, rocks and minerals, animal carvings, and African art. He loved books about astronomy, dinosaurs, and ancient Egypt, Rome, and Greece. And DVDs of old classic movies and the 3 Stooges. Every year he saved up to shop for hundreds of dollars’ worth of toys to donate to Toys for Tots at Christmas. He was preceded in death by his father John and mother Betty, and is survived by his sister Carol (Dave) Beard of Appleton, Wisconsin. Glenn would appreciate a donation to The Nature Conservancy in lieu of flowers. Private burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery.
