Georgetta Burkhart, age 75 of Wallins, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by family Tuesday May 12, 2020. She was born February 26, 1945 to the late Claude and Edna Russell Hensley. She is preceded in death by her parents Claude and Edna Hensley and seven siblings. Georgetta leaves to mourn her passing her loving children: John M. Burkhart and wife Connie of Stoney Fork, Christopher D. Burkhart and Melissa Gibson of Lafollette TN, Matthew Burkhart and Candy Cornett of Tremont, Debra Shell and husband Randy of Speedwell, TN, Joann Osborne and Keith Scearse of Bledsoe, Jessica Faye Burkhart and Vivian Robertson of Speedwell, TN, Brother Jimmy Wayne Hensley of Tremont, Sister Salley Matheny of Phoenix, AR, grandchildren Curtis (Kelly) Jones, Michael Lee (Amanda) Burkhart, Amy Renee Burkhart, Lucinda Beverly Burkhart and Michael Haddock, James Alan Justin Osborne, Sierra Robertson, Vivica Robertson, Great Grandchildren: Courtney Simpson, Jack Clem, Anna Clem, Cooper Jones, Conner Jones and a host of nieces and nephews. Due to Governor Andy Beshear’s Executive Order, given on March 17, 2020 and based on the CDC recommendations to decrease the spread of COVID-19, all services for Georgetta Burkhart will be private. Interment will be at the Joseph Family Cemetery with Reverend Paul Bailey officiating. Mount Pleasant Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Georgetta Burkhart.
