F B’s Obituary F.B. “Woody” Wood, Jr. of Adona, AR died at his home on May 16, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents: Fred Bruce Wood and Lenora Lee (Birdwell) Wood, 5 brothers: Dillard Wood, Nathan Wood, Cecil Wood, Clyde Wood and RL Wood, 2 sisters: Lydia Cornelius and Ivy Zoe Sanders. He was born April 27, 1934 in Wingate, TX. Woody is survived by his wife of 54 years Emolyn Ravern Wood, one daughter: Rachel Jones (Ken), one son: Robert Wood (Kimberly Kaye) and 4 grandchildren: Rebecca Jones, Elizabeth Jones, Spencer Wood (Fiancé: Kayla) and Abigail Wood, one brother: Lee Wood (Sue) and many nieces and nephews. Woody graduated from Winters High School in Winters, Texas. He attended college on athletic scholarships, with an interruption to serve in the Army in Korea. After Graduating college at the University of Texas, he worked in optical sales until his retirement in 1995. Woody was a member of First Baptist Church in Perryville. Until he became ill, he could be found each Sunday at the church doors greeting folks with a big smile. He was also a deacon and he and Ravern taught children’s church for over 10 years impacting many young lives. A memorial service will be planned at the First Baptist Church in Perryville when the situation will allow it.
