M. Elaine’s Obituary M. Elaine (Kanouse) Bell, of the Peter Becker Community, age 91, passed away Monday, May 25, 2020. She was the wife of the late William J. Bell, with whom she shared 38 years of marriage until his death in 2010. She was formerly married to David M. Woodland, who died in 1969. Born in Scullville, NJ on August 27, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Allen & Blanche (Hickman) Kanouse. She graduated in 1946 from the former Eisenhower High School in Norristown. She retired in 1992 from Nyleve Bridge Corp. In Emmaus. She previously worked for Kingston Contracting Company in West Point. She was a lifelong member of Sanctuary United Methodist Church since 1958 and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Priscilla Chapter 64. Elaine is survived by her daughter Nancy, wife of Christopher Pheil of Sanatoga. She was affectionately known as Nana to grandson, Jeffrey D. Roesener; granddaughter, Heather L. Garner, and great-grandchildren Alayna Roesener, Cora Garner, Eathan Garner, Colton Garner, and Sydney Garner. She loved spending time with her family, especially holidays and vacations in Ocean City, NJ. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
