Dorsey M. “D” Cole, 82, of West Alexandria, OH, went to be with the Lord on Thursday evening, May 28, 2020. Born February 2, 1938 in Livingston, KY, he was the son of Archie and Nannie (Hurley) Cole. He worked for 20+ years as a butcher for Suchers Packing Company in Dayton and later worked as a custodian for Tri-County North Schools for 18 years. “D” was faithful member of Abundant Life Tabernacle in Germantown, and along with his wife Sherry were foster parents to many youths for many years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother Preston Cole and sisters Florence Johnson and Liza. Survived by his wife of nearly 61 years Sherry Ann (Fleming) Cole whom he married July19, 1959; neighbors and close as children Gary and Melanie Burke of West Alexandria and their family Samantha Bennett and husband Jeff and their children Emma and Colt; sister Mildred Tipps of Alabama and like a sister Darlene. Friends may call from 12:00 – 1:00 PM Monday, June 1, 2020 at Abundant Life Tabernacle – 9440 Eby Rd. – Germantown, OH. The funeral service will follow at 1:00PM with Pastor James Setser presiding.
