Obituary Dolores H. Hlavac, age 88, of Wauseon, OH, passed away May 5, 2020 at her home after a long illness. Before her retirement, she was a 9-1-1 dispatcher. Dolores, the daughter of Adam and Marie (Wieszorek) Panek, was born on January 12, 1932, in Chicago, IL and lived in Illinois until retiring. She then moved to Jensen Beach, FL with her husband, Erwin F. Hlavac, Sr. She moved to Wauseon, Ohio in 2017 after he husband passed and lived with her daughter, AnnMarie Reynolds. Dolores credited her survival of serious illnesses and her long life to her being of strong Polish heritage. Dolores is survived by her daughter, AnnMarie Reynolds; and son, John J. Jennings. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ashley N. Jennings; Jessica L. Jennings; and MiKayla R. Jennings; nieces, Donna Ray Gasiorowski; Pamela Surhay; Linda Grgula, Patricia Ann Swiegert; nephews, Michael Kalfas; Paul R. Kalfas; and Joseph Grgula. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
