Dixie’s Obituary Dixie Lynn Cunningham Meeds Onderdonk, 92, passed away peacefully May 20, 2020 in Conroe, TX. Dixie was born February 12, 1928 in Treece, KS, the daughter of Rudolfus and Effie Cunningham. She received the Lord as her Savior at an early age and served Him throughout her life. Written in her Bible were the words, “My life with Christ has been an endless hope, but, without Christ, as my Savior, the end of my life, would have been hopeless” beside the scripture Psalm 116:15 “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” She was a member of RiverPointe Baptist Church in Conroe, TX. Dixie was a beautician by profession. After retirement, she served as a Fraternity house mother at the University of Arkansas for several years. Dixie is survived by one son and four daughters Linda Damm of Wichita, KS; Deborah and Craig Levering of Wichita; Calvin and Debi Meeds of Mount Vernon, MO; Alberta and John Pavlik of Raymond, NH; and Dixie Croston of Conroe, TX. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and loving friends. Dixie was predeceased by her husband of 38 years Calvin Dean Meeds, and her second husband of five years Wilbur H. Onderdonk. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 25 at 2pm at McNutt Funeral Home in Conroe, TX. Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO, will oversee a private graveside service at Spring River Cemetery, Verona, MO.
