He was born July 11, 1933 in Ahoskie, NC, to the late Columbus and Annie Stevenson. He lived in Newport News and New York for years. He worked at the Newport News Ship Building and Dry Dock Co. in Newport News, VA and at the Wine Co. in New York, NY. He was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Ray Stevenson, and two sisters, Mary Powers and Ethel Foster. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, two daughters, Donna and Paulette, and a host of grandchildren; two sisters, Tiny Tyler (Charles) and Annie Maven, both of Hampton, VA; nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. A graveside funeral will be held Friday, May 08, 2020. Viewing of the body will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Nickelson Cummings Funeral Home is in charge.
