Bullock December 24, 1933 – May 19, 2020 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Charlene (Pauly) Grow Bullock, 86, formerly of Viola, died Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Wichita, Kansas. She was born December 24, 1933 near Viola, Kansas to John William Pauly and Laura Elizabeth (Simon) Pauly. She grew up in Viola area and attended school at both Clonmel and Viola. She graduated from Viola High School with class of 1951. Charlene was united in marriage to Jon Ralph Grow on June 10, 1952 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway Springs and to this union 8 children were born. The family made their home in the Viola community where they operated a dairy farm until 1974. Charlene later married Charles L. Bullock in November of 1978 in Wichita, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2017. Charles and Charlene enjoyed many rounds of golf during retirement, with several holes-in-one recorded. Charlene was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Conway Springs, KS. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Don, Earl and Bob Pauly; four sisters: Marie Gorges, Lillian Pauly, Gladys Dalbom and Elsie Steffens; two sons: Steven and Michael Grow; three grandchildren: Mathias, Deann, and Steven Grow. Charlene is survived by three sons: Jim Grow and wife Victoria of Wichita, KS; Dan Grow and wife Jean of Thousand Palms, CA; Kevin Grow and wife Christi of Winfield, KS; three daughters: Mary Owens and husband Mike of Walton, KS; Donna Grow and Brenda Grow of Wichita, KS; two step-daughters: Michele and Rebecca Bullock of Wichita, KS; one brother John Pauly, Jr. of Conway Springs, KS. She was also blessed with numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great- great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and many friends who filled her life with love. Private Graveside services with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Conway Springs, KS. A memorial has been established to the Viola Community Hall Fund. Ebersole Mortuary, Conway Springs, KS.
