Chad’s Obituary Chad Brian Rock Adams, age 37 of Portage, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. He is survived by his mother Donna Kay Rock: father Brian Reed Adams; four children: Sienna, Ashtyn, Addison & Chase Adams; sister Neasha Adams (Adyson, Kayleigh, Parker & Brooklynn); paternal grandfather R.B. (Bonnie) Adams; and paternal grandmother Irene Lawless; his aunts and uncles: Judy Harwood, Brenda (Doug) Bow, Vicki Rock, John Ed Rock, Barbara (Don Smith) Adams-Smith, Becky (Billy) Lambert, Rick Adams, Jason Adams; his loving companion Jocelyn Sloan (Delilah & Violet); maternal cousins: John D. (Kristin) Rock, Christina (Mike) Rocha, Dustin (Kimberly) Bow, Darlene Harwood; maternal great cousins: Zofia Rock, Isaac and Caleb Rocha; paternal cousin; Heather Bush; and numerous great friends. Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents John & Betty Rock; uncle Eric Adams; aunt Ronda Rock; and cousin Kimberly Harwood. Chad attended South Haven Elementary and graduated from Portage High School, Class of 2001. To those who knew Chad, he was funny, always laughing and smiling and doing anything he could to mess with you. His day would start with a phone call to his Mother, to check on her health and then everyone else immediately after. His heart was as big as the ocean. At 18 years old, he opened Sunkissed Tanning Salon and operated it for almost 20 years. He was an E-bay entrepreneur, selling beanie babies at the age of 13 that him and his Papa spent many tireless hours collecting. He also delivered pizzas for Gelsosomo’s. Chad was a car buff, especially for Mustangs, and loved to ride snowmobiles and anything else that was FAST. He was a HUGE Chicago Cubs fan and loved them so much that all those attending the funeral are asked to wear Cubbies gear. Let’s shine up our cars and send him to heaven with one last big HOORAH! Family and friends may gather at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service (2700 Willowcreek, Portage) on Friday, May 29 from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Social distancing will be required and there may be a wait to get into the building. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and he will be laid to rest at Heritage Cemetery in Portage.
