Catherine R. Branstetter, 99, of Greenwood, formerly of Bloomfield, passed away Saturday May 16, 2020 at Greenwood Village South. Born October 15, 1920 in Lyons, Indiana the daughter of Shannon and Eskel (Overton) Rusher. Catherine was a seamstress, a member of the Bethany Christian Church and attended the Bloomfield First Christian Church, an associate member of the Tri Kappa Kappa and the Furnace Extension Club. Surviving relatives include her step-son, Mike (Judy) Branstetter of Bloomfield, a step-daughter, Kathy (Dave) Walls of Lafayette, one nephew, Denny (Mary) Rusher of Indianapolis, two nieces, Janet (Mark) Raker of Indianapolis, Karen (Jim) Burton of Bradenton, Florida; three step-grandchildren, Amber Branstetter, Michelle (Bob) Richardson, Katlin (Gregg) Stephani and one sister-in-law, Marian Rusher. Catherine was preceded in death by her first husband Roy Ellett, her second husband Marvin Branstetter, three brothers, Merlin Rusher, infant Donald Rusher, infant brother and a nephew Steve Rusher. To ensure safety at this time there will not be a viewing or Graveside service. A virtual service is pending later this week.
