Carolyn’s Obituary Carolyn Lorraine Rivers, 66, of Argyle went on to her heavenly home on May 15, 2020. She was born in Galveston, Texas, to Alex and Corie Legate. She was a member of Eagle Mountain International Church and worked as an administrative assistant at First Baptist Church of Argyle. Carolyn loved serving at the First Baptist in Argyle and its Bright Beginnings Preschool. All the students adored her and she was “Momo” or “Ms. Carolyn” to each and every child (and their families). She is survived by her husband, Timothy Rivers, her son, Thaxton Rivers & wife Mandi, grandchildren, Caedmon Rivers and Mason Rivers of Chico, Texas; her sisters, Joyce Countryman of New Waverly, Texas, Elizabeth Sutton of Lewisville, Texas, Dorothy Chambers & husband Jack of Tarkington Prairie, Texas, sister in law, Thresa Smith & husband Bennie of Centerville, Texas & many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Corie, father, Alex & brother, Timothy Legate, father-in-law Joseph, & mother-in-law Flaudine Rivers and one grandchild. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Argyle in Argyle, Texas. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Carolyn Rivers Memorial Scholarship at First Baptist Church of Argyle’s Bright Beginnings Preschool. Interment will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on a later date. Read More
