Carolyn’s Obituary CAROLYN J. MCBRIDE, 65, of Collinsville, formerly of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 7:50 am, Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. She was born to the late Raymond and Alice (nee Dilday) Wright on February 24, 1955 in Chester, Illinois. Carolyn had worked as a Registered Nurse at Eden Village. Carolyn was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Chester. She enjoyed reading and playing with her dogs. She was an amazing mother, grandmother “Grammy”, Sister, Aunt, Friend and Registered Nurse. She was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Carolyn was a long time member of the Lutheran Faith. She was always kind and loved the residents of any facility that she worked at. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. Survivors: 3 Children: Sarah McBride (Al Poppen) Carbondale, IL Shalla McBride (Tim Skidmore) Ava, IL Sean (Liz) McBride Murphysboro, IL 5 Grandchildren: Caleb Bonney, Czaria Bonney, Jose Arres, Gabriel Simmons and Claramae Skidmore 1 Sister: Mary (Floyd) Mudd Modoc, IL 2 Brothers: Charlie (Wanda) Wright Sheridan, IN Ralph (Nancy) Wright Elko, NV Lifelong Friends: Bill & Terri Rinderer and Joyce Mezel Beloved Pomeranian: Dixie Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends and Co-workers Preceded in Death by: Parents and Ex-husband and Special Friend – Leonard McBride A private graveside service will be held at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Chester, Illinois. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials contributions can be made in Carolyn’s memory to Family Choice and memorials are being accepted at the Pechacek Funeral Homes in Chester.
