Obituary Carmel Faye (Spurgeon) McClellan, beloved Mother, Grandmother and homemaker, passed away April 27, 2020 at the age of 100 years and one day. The fourth of 10 children, Carmel was born April 26, 1920 to William Mattison and Mabel Alice (Griffin) Spurgeon in Bixby, Oklahoma. Carmel was a graduate of Mounds High School. She married Truman Nelson McClellan, October 4, 1940, near Mounds, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband Truman, son Larry Nelson McClellan and grandson Dale Wayne Davis; sisters Joy Spurgeon, Elsie Robinson, Vivian Brannan, and Margaret Spurgeon; brothers Matt Spurgeon, Marvin Spurgeon and Jack Spurgeon. She is survived by her children Sharon (Harold) Davis, Jerry (Kathy) McClellan, Lisa (Eddie) Gomez and Randy (Angie) McClellan; 10 grandchildren Eddie, Lora, Brooke, Angela, Brian, Brandi, Brent, Brad, Brittani, and Carmel; 14 great grandchildren and sisters Mary Ann Watson and Nadine Saville. Carmel was a member of the Southwest Baptist Church of Tulsa. A visitation will be held at Mark Griffith Funeral home, 4424 S. 33rd W. Ave, Thursday, April 30 from 10am-noon.
