Obituary Caleb Levi Smith, 19, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend left this earth way too soon on Sunday, May 10, 2020, leaving a big hole in our hearts. He was born March 7, 2001in Wilmington and was the loving son of Darren Brady and Melissa Huffman Smith. In addition to his parents Caleb is survived by his brother, Oliver Reed Smith; grandmothers, Ellen Smith and Cathy Dennis; great grandmother, Dorothy Patterson; aunts, Holly Bowden and Jessica Dennis; uncles, William Huffman and Christopher Huffman; and many extended family and friends. Caleb was an unforgettable young man that had a pure heart, charming smile, and a sarcastic fast wit. Best of all he loved being outdoors in God’s beautiful world of nature. Fun for Caleb was spending a day fishing. He was a kind soul with a caring spirit that loved his family, especially his brother, Oliver. Our hearts are broken, but we will keep Caleb’s sweet spirit close around us. Due to health issues and restrictions currently in our country there will be a graveside service 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Black River Presbyterian Church Cemetery for immediate family and close friends. The Rev. William Moore will conduct the service. Shared memories and condolences may be sent to the family at www.quinnmcgowen.com A service of Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel.
