“Butch”‘s Obituary DANIEL “BUTCH” GENTRY, age 71, of Madisonville, passed away Saturday morning, May 9, 2020 at his home. He was born February 9, 1949. He married Margie Norman on December 24, 1974. He was a lifelong resident of Monroe County and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Maude Gentry; sisters, Minnie Bell Gentry, Marie Shaffer, Alva Whitmore; brothers, VL and Charles. Survivors: Wife of 45 years, Margie Gentry; daughter, Misty (Carl) Tinsley; son, Gaines (Anne) Gentry; Grandchildren, Katie, Julya, Maycee, Cody, Gus, Lilly, Dusty; brother, Brunner Gentry; sisters-in-law, Sue Gentry and Betty Gentry; several nieces and nephews; pet dog, Hambone. A memorial service and interment will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for final expenses.
