Obituary September 18, 1954 was a very special day, three babies came into the world that had only 6 months to grow in their mother’s womb and they weren’t expected to live. Until we were officially named, we were known as B1-Bruce, B2-Bernice and B3-Bonita. God has truly blessed us all of our lives with Faith, Hope and Love but the greatest of these is Love. Yesterday evening, May 1st, God called our brother Bruce Hudkins home to be with him. Bruce of Clarksburg was the son of the late Tommy Hopkins Hudkins and Betty Jo Meek Hudkins. He graduated from Washington Irving High School, Class of 1972 and from Fairmont State with an associate’s degree in Science, Class of 1974. He was a jack of all trades. He worked for Standard Exterminating Company, Union Carbide, Huntington Bank, Home Depot, Mountain State Auto Auction, but his passion to serve was as a volunteer fireman for the Stonewood Fire Department. Music has always been a big part of our family’s life from the time we were born. Bernice and I got to go to the hospital and sing a lot of the songs we all three grew up singing at home, in church, in school choir and traveling in the car together. I know Bruce was harmonizing with us in heaven along with our mother. We celebrate his life with us and all our friends. He also loved animals and children. He is survived by his son, Barton Jacob Hudkins of Shinnston, his triplet sisters, Bernice Fox and her husband John and Bonita Totten all of Clarksburg; many nieces and nephews, Jason Wyne, Justin Wyne, Danielle Barnard and others too numerous to mention and his very best friend, Joseph Reed.
