Bettie Jean Shelton, daughter of Verna Marie (Morris) Davidson and the late LeRoy Charles Davidson, was born April 8, 1959, at Cherokee, Oklahoma, and passed away May 22, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 61 years, one month, and 14 days. Bettie Jean grew up in Waynoka. She was adopted by Elmer Earl Parker and later adopted by LeRoy Davidson. She was a hairdresser at Bettie’s Cut and Curl for many years and also worked many other jobs. She worked for Waynoka Schools in maintenance, the cafeteria, and drove a school bus. She loved her family and especially playing with her grandkids. On February 5, 2000, Bettie Jean was united in marriage to Buddy Wallace Shelton in Waynoka, but were together for a total of 45 years. Besides her father, Elmer Parker, and her father, LeRoy Davidson, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elmira Marie Parker; and two grandchildren, William Chad Chapman and Shadow Michelle Bolar. She is survived by her husband, Buddy, of Waynoka; four daughters, Felicia Green and husband, Brandon, Tamara Bolar and husband, Kale Schmidt, Veronica Durkee and husband, Darren Seachris, and Meagann Mason, all of Waynoka; a brother, Don Davidson and wife, Pam, of Waynoka; ten grandchildren, Destanee Bolar, Caitlin “Tiny” Meliza and husband, Ross, Austin “Bubba” Durkee, Bronc Bolar, Serenity “Roo” Green, Keira “Pig Pig” Durkee, Mersaydes “Punkin” Green, Riggin “Riggs” Bolar, Trigg Cunningham, and Kasher “Bubba 2″ Shelton, all of Waynoka; two great grandchildren, Kreaklynn Bolar and Boone Inman; other relatives and friends.
