Obituary Mr. Barry Carter Owenby, 59, of Dunn died Monday May 18, 2020 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn. Mr. Owenby was born on November 24, 1960, in Buncombe County to Marion Carter Owenby and the late Rev. Carroll Owenby. Mr. Owenby was also preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Stanton. A private service will be held at a later date. Mr. Owenby is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Gay Owenby of the home, step son, Noah Bowman and wife Courtney; granddaughter, Bradley Grace Bowman; and nieces, Katrina and Violet Stanton.
