FORT MEADE – Mrs. Barbara Carol Bryant, 71, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020 in Sebring, FL. Barbara was born January 19, 1949 in Blytheville, Arkansas and has been a resident of Fort Meade for many years. She worked with the Polk County School Board as a bus attendant for handicapped children and also attended the New Beginning Church of God in Fort Meade. Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicky Davis; granddaughter, Melissa Davis; sister, Sue, and brothers, Junior and Franklin. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Bryant, Sebring, FL; daughters, Brenda G. Kilpatrick, Frostproof, FL, Tammie Meeks and husband Mike, Frostproof, FL; brothers, Vernon Hicks, Haley Hicks, David Hicks, all of Ruskin, FL, Frank Hicks, Plant City, FL and Nathan Shaw of Kentucky; sister, Helen Chism, Ruskin, FL; grandchildren, Caleb Kilpatrick, Jacob Kilpatrick and wife Isabel, Ashley Cofer and husband Clay, Michael Meeks; one great-grandchild, Ashton Avalos. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Meade with private family services being held.
