Barbara’s Obituary Barbara Ann (Bledsoe) Greene, age 78 of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2020 at Halifax Health Hospice Care Center, Ormond Beach, FL. She was born February 12, 1942 in Columbia, SC to James Cleveland (JC) & Annie Mae (Blume) Bledsoe. Barbara was a branch manager and financial adviser (series 6 certified) at Wells Fargo bank for more than 10 years and was in the banking industry for 42 years where she earned many awards and accolades. Barbara was admired by her co-workers as being a hard worker and true leader. She graduated from North Miami Senior High School in 1960 and moved to the Carolinas until the 1970’s when she moved back to Florida. Barbara was a member of Beacon Baptist Church, where she actively attended until health issues did not allow her to continue. She loved her Lord and Savior until the end. She was an avid bowler through the ‘70s, ‘80s, and 90’s. Barbara enjoyed working in the yard arranging the flowers of their river front home and admiring the wildlife around her. She enjoyed playing piano and played in her church briefly. She loved to travel visiting Germany, France, England; attending the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA; Niagara Falls (both US and Canada sides). She went on a tour with her mother and siblings through the Appalachian Mountains, to Branson, MO and back. But most of all Barbara enjoyed her family time. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Fred L. Greene of Ormond Beach, her children, Troy Shaw (Mawanna) of Ormond Beach, Jamie Greene (Bernadette) of Daytona Beach, her brother Ronnie Bledsoe (Lore) of Ormond Beach, her sisters Diane Vaughn (Sammy) of Daytona Beach and Kathy Ballew (Chuck) of Fountain Inn, SC, her grandchildren Cassandra Shaw (Jim) of Palm Coast, Brittany Parsons (Graham) of Ormond Beach, Brandon Shaw (Christina) of Sanford, Tabitha Griffith of Ormond Beach, Hailey Marrie Peacock of New Smyrna, Cobie Greene in the United States Naval Forces, Tyler Hubbard in the United States Air Force, and Rorie Hubbard of Holly Hill. Barbara also leaves behind six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless other family members and friends throughout the Southeast. She was preceded in death by her father, James Cleveland (JC) Bledsoe, and her mother Annie Mae (Blume) Bledsoe Visitation will be held at Lohman Funeral Home; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach on Saturday, May 16th from 10:30 ~ 1:30 pm with a graveside service at 2:00 pm at Volusia Memorial Park.
