Private family service will be held. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to First United Baptist Church. Audrey was born in Villa Ridge, Illinois on February 24, 1939, the daughter of the late Claude and Opal (Pope) Harty. On June 2, 1956 she married James Wood at New Hope General Baptist Church in Flint. She was a member of First United Baptist Church-Flint. Mrs. Wood was employed as a seamstress. Surviving are husband, James; sons, Steven D. and wife Melanie Wood, Daniel G. and wife Jennifer Wood; daughter, Kelly D. and husband Jeffrey Henneke; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one sister, Joan and husband Eugene Henderson. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Gaylean Peavyhouse. Print Obituary
