Artie’s Obituary Artie Lou Cox, Marionville, MO, daughter of Jesse Lee and Lyndal (Pearce) Maples, was born on February 1, 1941 in Hurley, MO and departed this life on May 11, 2020, at the age of 79. Artie was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a homemaker and a member of the Buck Prairie Baptist Church, Marionville, MO. Artie was preceded in death by her husband, Lawson Cox; parents, Jesse and Lyndal Maples; two brothers, Kenneth Maples and Jesse Lynn Maples; one sister, Peggy Sreaves and one grandson, Jacob. Survivors include: one son, Curtis Cox and his wife, Lynn of Marionville, MO; two daughters, Denise England and her husband, Craig of Santa Clara, CA and Darlene Benton of Aurora, MO; five grandchildren, Ashley, Nick, Andrew, Jessica and Josh; one great grandchild, Adryan and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2020 in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Crane, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2020 in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Crane, MO with Lee Miller officiating.
