Armand’s Obituary Armand Guerra, age 71 of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Armand was born May 12, 1948 in Hanford, CA to Meliton and Amelia Guerra. He was raised primarily in Bakersfield, CA and lived many years in Central California before relocating to Oklahoma in 1985. Armand was a man of many talents. He was a skilled chef, working throughout the years at various restaurants in Central California and Oklahoma. He was a gifted artist and musician who could pick up any instrument with ease. Nothing quite matched his skill on the guitar and he enjoyed playing often, even teaching his grandkids a few tricks. Armand’s life changed forever when he married Rose in 1997. They loved each other dearly and enjoyed many adventures together. In their later years, they settled in Lexington to be close to Rose’s grandchildren. Although life was sometimes difficult, Armand always made the best of it. He had a great sense of humor and a sharp wit, always quickly followed by laughter. He was thankful for God’s saving grace and was known to share kind words and encouragement to whoever needed it. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by: His wife, Rose Van Vorst-Guerra His parents, Meliton and Amelia Guerra His siblings Rudy Reyes, Ramona Reyes, Louis Guerra, and Ruben Guerra Armand is survived by: His daughters, Amanda Wright of Portland, OR and Annette Guerra of Moore, OK Step Daughter, Liz Trammell of Purcell, OK Sister Adeline Olmos of Bakersfield, CA Several grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
