Anna Marie Cooper, 71, of Bledsoe, passed away May 16, 2020 at Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born on December 21, 1948 in Davidson Co., Tennessee to the late James I. Carter and Minnie Ruth Carter. She spent the first 8 years of her life in Russellville, KY before moving to Dayton, OH where she met her Husband of 50 years, Glen Cooper. She retired from Green Hills Elementary as a food service worker after 27 years. Mrs. Cooper is preceded in death by her Parents. Anna is survived by her Loving Husband of 50 years, Glen Cooper of Bledsoe; Sons, Denver Cooper and Wife Cathy of Richmond and Wesley Cooper and Wife Valerie of Bledsoe; Grandchildren, John-Wesley Cooper and Wife Brittany of Richmond, Justin Cooper of Louisville, Logan Cooper of Richmond, Charlie Cooper of Richmond, Courtney Gibson of Lafayette, TN and Casey Cox of Pineville; Sister, Mindy Wiese and Husband Jim of Springfield, MO; Brothers, John R. Carter and Wife Sherry of Union, OH and Kevin L. Carter of Springfield, MO; Several Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends also mourn her passing. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 20, 2020 from 5PM to 7PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 7PM also in the Chapel with Percy Brown officiating. Burial will be Thursday, May 21,2020 at 11AM at Cooper Cemetery. Mount Pleasant Funeral home will be continuing to comply with CDC and State Guidelines on Funeral Services by maintaining the social distance of 6ft and allowing only 33% of our building’s occupancy capacity. Mount Pleasant Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Anna Marie Cooper.
