Obituary Glenville – Albert R. Gallo, 62, passed away after a short illness on Monday, May 11th, 2020. A lifelong area resident, Al was born in Schenectady to his parents- the late Albert and Beverly (Linton) Gallo. Al was a simple and straightforward man who loved his family. He was a talented stone mason and was considered a master of his craft. In his spare time Al loved trout fishing in local creeks, especially the Kayaderosseras Creek. He also enjoyed his fish in his aquarium at home and he was an avid movie buff. His favorite pastime was camping with his family at their seasonal campsite in Galway. Al will forever be remembered by his wife of 35 years, Shirl (Strang) Gallo, his children, Quinn Barrett (Brian), Albert Gallo and Anthony Gallo (Kayla) as well as his grandchildren, Christopher, Tyler, Jasmine, Riley, Rosalie, his grandpup, Wallace and his two cats, Ziti and Mason. He also leaves behind his siblings, Patty St. Andrews (Charlie) and Bernardo “BJ” Gallo, his aunt, Donna Hughes (Fran) and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Al was predeceased by two sisters, Maria Gallo and Lynn Grant. Following Al’s wishes, there will be no public services.
