Henrietta G. Tillett, 98, of Martinsville, passed away at 9:55 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2020 at the Franciscan Health Hospice House in Indianapolis.
She was born on Tuesday, October 11, 1921 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Arnold and Nellie (Warner) Gregory.
Henrietta was a 1940 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis. She began working at Curtiss-Wright in Indianapolis, where she met the love of her life, Paul Tillett. She later worked at Naval Avionics and RCA, both in Indianapolis, before staying home as a homemaker. Henrietta was a member of the Southport United Methodist Church and was attending Hoosier Harvest Church in Martinsville the last few years.
She is survived by her daughter, Pauletta DeWeese and husband Loren of Martinsville; grandchildren, Paula McClure, Jennifer McClure, Dennis McDaniel and wife Megan and Angela Flint; 13 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren.
Henrietta was preceded in death of her husband of nearly 70 years, Paul Erwin Tillett, whom she married on April 9, 1943 and he passed away on September 8, 2012; parents, Arnold and Nellie; siblings, Clarence Gregory, Wilma Posey and Madonna Scott.
Private graveside services will be Wednesday at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
