William Wallace’s Obituary Funeral services for William Wallace Hart, 74, of Center, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Olivet Christian Church in Center with Reverend Steve Goughnour officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Center. Masonic services will be at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Hart passed away at 2:41 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Hannibal Regional Hospital. He was born in Center on June 16, 1945 the son of Harry Wallace and Rosa Lena Clary Hart. He married Phyllis Schuchman Linke in Elsberry on May 15, 1976 and she survives. Other survivors include: three sons, Brian (Michelle) Hart of Springfield, Philip Linke of Chicago and Chris (Debbie) Linke of Center; one daughter, Christine Hart-Nieland of Lake St. Louis; seven grandchildren, Trevor (Danielle) Hart, Jayden Hart, Keegan Hart and Devin Hart, all of Springfield, Gracie Neiland of Columbia, Arik (Jessica DeMoss) Linke of O’Fallon and Allan (Emily) Linke of Perry; four great grandchildren, Ayden, Arri, Addi and Anniahh Linke, all of Perry. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Hart was a lifetime area resident and lifetime member of the Olivet Christian Church, He was a 1963 graduate of Mark Twain High School and 1968 graduate of the University of Missouri. He farmed all of his life and also worked as an ag-teacher in Norburn, Elsberry and Paris school districts. He earned the Farm Family of the Year award and an Honorary State FFA degree. Mr. Hart was a 32nd degree Mason at Center Masonic Lodge #33, a member of the Center Lions Club and Jaycees and also served on the Ralls County Mutual Insurance Board. He enjoyed walleye and trout fishing, deer hunting, building guns and teaching children for Jaycees State Competition. Pallbearers will be Gracie Neiland, Trevor Hart, Keegan Hart, Devin Hart, Jayden Hart, Arik Linke and Allan Linke. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Lake, Jay Hicks, Steve Lake and Bill Clary. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or a charity of donor’s choice.
