Obituary William “Ray” Williams, 80, of Houston, DE passed away at home surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. He was the son of the late Stanley and Sarah Williams. A man of few words, Ray loved NASCAR, driving Tractor Trailers from Coast to Coast, antique cars, and retired from Cunningham Sand & Gravel. He was a race car driver, mechanical tech., and a friend to everyone he met. He was not a materialistic person, but was very patient, loving, caring, and a humble, gentle soul. He will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his brother Melvin Williams and sister, Gloria Jean Cunningham. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Phyllis Williams; children, Ricky Howard and Selina Maldonado; grandchildren, Sierra Young and Robert “Bubba” Martinez; great grandchildren, Subrii Young and Robert Hickman; siblings David Paul Williams, Richard James (Arlene) Williams, Douglas (Nancy) Williams, Clinton (Nan) Williams, Sylvia “Syb” (John) Williams McLoughlin; and many nieces and nephews A Celebration of Life service be held at 1PM on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S.
