Obituary William was the son of the late Sarah Ringgold Brown and Paul Brown Sr. He was married to the late Gloria Warner Brown. William “Hilky” Brown went to be with the Lord at Easton Memorial Hospital from a massive heart attack on January 14, 2020 with his daughter Linda Warner Dodd at his side. Hilky a had long series of health issues. He struggled with a heart condition for several years after a heart attack and having to depend on a heart defibrillator. He graduated from Lockerman High School in 1962. After graduation he worked at Nuttle’s Lumber Co., and Aden’s Carpet Service both in Denton and began his career at Black and Decker in Easton in 1979 retired in 1998 as a supervisor. He retired to be with his father Paul Sr. after he had a stroke. He went to the nursing home every day. Hilky was a dedicated and loving family man, he loved supporting the activities his grandchildren were involved in. He enjoyed helping others but refused help from others. He was honest, reliable, trusted and a very proud man. Days when he didn’t feel well himself, he continued to go and ensure family members were alright. He visited his grand-daughter Eve at the Pines twice a week, he assisted our stepmother Callie Hoxter on a weekly basis. Visited several nursing homes several times a month checking on classmates, neighbors and friends. If you needed a ride, he would be that ride. Hilky loved and played sports in school and always loved watching sports, especially the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles. Before the death of his grandson Brandon they would watch football together especially when his Ravens played or Brandon’s Cowboys. Now he watches with his granddaughter Jennifer and often has his friends Alvin Cain and son-in- law Frankie Dodd over to watch games. He also enjoyed going to Harrington to watch the horse races he said he donates to relieve his stress. (A measure of a man’s success is how many people love him – (W.Buffett). Truly to know Hilky was to love and respect him. He was a dedicated son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend.
