Swansea – William D. McKenna, 51, of Swansea, died Friday February 21,2020 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. He was born in Warwick a son of John J. and Paula P. (Janson) McKenna Sr. of Swansea Ma. He has lived in Swansea or 5 years coming from Bristol, RI. Bill was a graduate of Bristol High School Class of 1987, where he was the Freshman State Champion for Wrestling. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving as a Private First Class. Bill was a member of the Iron Workers Union, and he also was a construction worker for various companies. He enjoyed fishing and weight lifting and body building. Bill had a heart of gold and he was a friend for life. Besides his parents he is survived by his brothers John J. “ROCKY” McKenna Jr, and his wife Pamela of Swansea, MA. And James P. McKenna and his wife Kristine of Somerset, MA. Bill was the Uncle of Jason, Ethan, James, Nicholas, Emily and Brooke. He also leaves several cousins and his extended family and friends. His visiting hours will be held Thursday February 27,2020 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, with a Prayer Service at 6:00 pm in the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, RI. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private.
