William (Bill) A. Reichart, member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, former director of Gulf Shores Snowbridge, owner of Coastal Mattress and Coastal Linen, lost his heroic fight with cancer on February 9, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents, Al Reichart and Marie Reichart and his sister, Mary Ciaccio. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jayne Reichart, his daughter Annette Steele of Zionsville, Indiana his granddaughters, Emma Sisler and Julia Steele; and his brothers Larry Reichart of Bryan, Texas and Phil Reichart of Springfield, Illinois. In 1958 Bill graduated from Waverly High Scholl, Waverly, Illinois; in 1962 he received a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois; and in 1965 he received a Master’s degree from Kent State, Ohio. He later went to work for Westinghouse in Muncie, Indiana. He is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Honorary Fraternity. He is one of the founding members of the Rocket Club along with his long time friends John Brownback and Al Lewis. Visitation for the family will be at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church on Thursday, February 13th at 9:30 A.M. followed by a 10 A.M. wake for family and friends. The funeral service will be at 11 A.M. followed by the Grave Side Service at Pine Rest Cemetery in Foley, Alabama. After interment there will be a celebration of Bill’s life at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church.
